Does God really care what we eat? If not, then where in Scripture does it say that God changed his mind from what he said to his people in the book of Genesis? Are you thinking of Acts 10, Galatians 2, Mark 7, or maybe Colossians 2? You will be surprised and amazed to see for yourself that for over 1800 years we have read in the Scriptures things that are not there. You will be truly stunned to discover the power of tradition and how the doctrine of the “death of Jesus so we can eat it all” has survived for so long.
Thank you

Talk about swimming upstream! To change and be obedient to these directives- laws- will be isolating at best…
Following which of YHVH instructions would be isolating?
Today’s Jews may think they are currying favour with GOD by following Talmud but Jesus quite clearly said no need to avoid foods.
And of course he ate fish and provided fish several times so obviously he ignored the Adam and Eve diet.
As Jews deny Jesus they choose to be blind to their own hypocrisies.
Jews also demand their wives cut off their hair given them for glory and wear a manmade wig!
Jews kill lambs and barbecue the meat to their g-d Baal despite the REAL GOD saying He hates the stink of burning meat!
Burn your torahs and talmuds and Get KJV Bibles and learn about Jesus because otherwise he will slaughter you.
Does it “have” to be KJV? Like…would copies of the original manuscripts do? :oD
Hi Rose. Thanks for your opinion. Did it come from our Father or from some other source?
Biblical references to support your comments, please
There are biblical references given in the “Full Study” document. It’s only natural for people to dismiss what brings discomfort and personal hardship (i.e. dietary changes) so I hope you decide to read the material presented with an open mind.
How do I get on your email list?
Hi Bill, thanks for your question. This newsletter signup link will take you directly to the sign up form.
Why would I eat animals that are designed to be vacuum cleaners of the sea, lakes, islands and the continents.
Eye opening
Well now, aren’t the dietary instructions for our health and well being? When YHVH says eat this and not that, drink this and not that, isn’t it for our benefit? So why all the rebellion? Give it try. You just might be the healthier for it. You might even like it.
I really enjoyed this article. It brightened my outlook on every day living. I am so blessed to have found Michael Rood. I love all the teachings both by Michael, and others on Rood Awakening.
Thank you and many blessings be upon you all.
It is evident that you desire to maintain the Levitical dietary laws which is commendable and of which I am of not opposed, however, you deny the power of God to cleanse all things, to restore righteousness through Yeshua’s sacrifice and not dietary laws. If Peter had seen a sheet lowered down from heaven full of Gentiles and then your point may be made, however, he did not see humans, he saw animals of every type and beast. “What God has cleansed you must not call common.” That, reads pretty clear to me and there is no ambiguity in it. Is it only possible for Yehovah to cleanse gentiles and sinners but not animals for consumption? Maybe nothing should be refused? Furthermore, you ignore the absence in the command of the apostles in Acts 15:20 and again in 28-29 to abstain from any unclean animal. If they cited strangulation, blood, idols and sexual immorality twice, surely they would have cited some, or even one, of the unclean animals that they knew the gentiles regularly ate. But they did not. Then again in 1 Tim. 4:4, you deny the authority of scripture with you bias, “For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.” Maybe the definition of the word; nothing, doesn’t mean what we think it means? Or, maybe, of necessity, there was a change of the Law when their was a change of the Priesthood? For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law.” Heb. 7:12 and “,there arises another priest who has come, not according to the law of a fleshly commandment, but according to the power of an endless life.” Heb. 7:15c-16 As the Apostle Paul rightly stated in Acts 15:10 “Now therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?”
I did not learn of these Torah laws until I was in my late 60s. I was a Christian raised by my preacher’s son father who was not taught these laws either. Unfortunately he passed before he learned of them. It has been an eye-opening experience to say the least. I am still having family backlash for changing my diet and what I feel is what God was saying about eating correctly. If it is mentioned, we are critizied for such outlandish old fashioned beliefs. We feel God has protected my husband and I for our faith. We are trying our best to do these uncommon things. We give Him credit…we are in great health considering we have only been eating biblical for such a short time. My husband had a janitorial company and worked every day through the whole pandemic and no one on his crew was infected. We prayed for protection daily. We were exposed by our teen grandsons to the Big C twice but neither of us caught it…others in our immediate family did catch it who ate the normal American diet and were hospitalized for weeks and it took months for them to recover.
Thank you, Michael Rood for your YouTube videos that helped us understand the things God was trying to show us about a lot of biblical things we did not understand. We are on a very limited budget or we would donate but we pray for your outreach.
I see the rebellion in some of these comments and it makes me smile, as sad as it is. I was there. I was serious about my commitment of living for God. From the moment I surrendered to Him, I yearned for one thing: Show me what you want from me. The cry was earnest (as the following years to present have proven), and all I knew to do at the time was go to church and find out what I was supposed to do. I believed what I was taught, but thank YHVH, I eventually learned that was I was taught from the non-denominational, Calvinistic, grace-based teaching was not true at all, nor was it in the Bible. I did learn one very valuable truth there, though, “Stay in the Word”. When I removed the distorted lenses of christian doctrine from my eyes, and read the scripture for myself (in CONTEXT), I found YHVH’s Truth, His Way. My earnest plea to live how ever my Creator said to has been, and continues to be answered. He doesn’t change. His Word is eternal. He has told us what food is. He has told us about apparel. He has set aside the seventh day of every week (not “a”) as an appointment with Him. He sent His Son to walk out in perfection how we are to live. Shalom, and “Stay in the Word”…all of it 🙂
@ wade.
The commaments to our beloved Jewish brothers and sisters are , at the least instructional to us, these things being written for our instruction.
Why are we sheep?
Why are some goats?
A sheep discerns what species of grass and herb that he eats.Eating down only to the root level and stopping. It happens to also improve the pasture.
Goats are not selective or DISCERNING on what grass/herb/weed species he eats, he eats them all ! without discernment.Even prefering weeds, even to his own harm.
A sheep stores fat within itself to last it a very long time without good grass.
A goats fat reserves are of a lesser nature and it will lose condition within a few days without feed.
Likewise, we are to discern what words we eat, discerning the biblical from the commandments of men that look and sound ***like*** scripture which tickle the ears of some.(As Tevye points out, Tradition,Tradition!)
We will grow fat in the reserves of the word of Yehovah storing them in ourselves for the time when theyre needed,Grazing on the best grasses, thereby mowing them down causing them to shoot up again for our children.
I dont follow kashurut in the stomach’s sense.
But in my word-stomach Im a true Jew, a sheep in his pasture.
Im thankful so much to Yehovah for his example in our brothers and sisters the Jews.
Praise Him!
P.S. have you seen a sheep smile? I understand they are the only animals to do so. unless Im wrong.
Diet is definitely a HOT TOPIC in everyone’s life, dare I say it is polarizing – as previous replies prove.
What if there is a happy medium? FOR EXAMPLE: In the Old testament the priests ate meat – the meat of the sacrifices. This would be on OCCASION and not necessarily on a daily basis.
Consider that the whole point of the demonstration to Peter with the animals being displayed to him, etc. is to instruct that what GOD has purified (blessed by our prayer and thanksgiving for the NAME and the ULTIMATE FINAL SACRIFICE) we are not to call it unclean – referring to both people and animals.
Making a diet as restrictive as vegetarian is in a way denying that GOD can make the meat clean and beneficial to us; conversely, having a liberal diet with much meat and other “junk” being the other extreme.
Both are examples of what NOT to do…perhaps.
Making a god out of diet, to me, it the whole point of the instructive example to Peter. Taking pride in a “clean” diet leaves no space to TRUST GOD in blessing and sanctifying what we ingest.
Denying a meat in front of someone who is unsaved and has painstakingly prepared it for a meal for you, as their guest, is an insult to both he host and to the POWER of the NAME of JESUS to cleanse and sanctify the meat. This is PRIDE of a spiritual type; akin to putting works (i.e. strictly vegetarian diet) above Love or Grace. Grace is extended moment by moment, unmeasurable and is ABOVE THE LAW. We need not be as restrictive and regimented in such a manner as to negate the CLEANSING and SANCTIFYING power of prayer and blessing of our food – to insult those who do not know or follow the letter of the law so “religiously” and risk being a stumbling block to them. As The Apostle Paul said:
Have we not power to eat and to drink? I Co. 9:4
To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by ALL MEANS SAVE SOME. I Co. 9:22
Putting dietary restrictions above GRACE is what the point is. Let each follow the Law as they are led, in their own homes and among those with like mind and convictions AND be FLEXIBLE when among others who are not on the same “path” in their diet. To those who do not have the same conviction it would seem impossible to be a vegetarian to be “acceptable”…and that is a false image to portray as it is NOT the DIET that makes us clean it is the NAME and BLOOD of JESUS which makes us clean and acceptable.
MARK 7: 13-16
Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye. And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand: There is NOTHING from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man. If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
