Thank you to everyone who was praying for our family of seven.
Just an update: we had our land cleared after obtaining a land clearing permit. We just received our septic permit so now we can apply for a building permit. We had some fill dirt delivered and will hopefully get more soon. We will have a well drilled in a few days. Things are finally moving along after what seemed like forever. I was really getting discouraged because it seemed as if nothing was ever going to happen...waiting on city officials for approval for things isn't easy. Please continue to pray for our family as we actually start stacking blocks and building...
Some encouraging things the father has been showing me, I hope they encourage you too:
There is a birdhouse hanging from a magnolia tree in the backyard of our rental property. I have had the pleasure of watching the baby birds in that tiny birdhouse being fed worms by their bird parents, over and over again. Yah reminded me of the verse in scripture (Matthew 6:26) that says, "Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?"
On our land where we will be building a house I found a wounded osprey. It took a while but I finally found a vet who will help this fierce looking but amazing bird.
The Father reminded me of the verse in Isaiah 40:31
"But those who wait on Yah
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint."
Let us run and not be weary, let us walk and not faint, because we wait on him. Let us trust that He will meet all of our needs despite all the craziness around us. If He can provide worms for the birds, how much more will He provide our needs.
