“Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth concerning anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” – Matthew 18:19-20

The search for an assistant farm manager for this 501c3 rehabilitation farm is going badly. I can't hold on much longer. I am exhausted. I don't want to let the board of directors, donors & supporters, or YHWH down. We went from having help (trainees and volunteers) 50% of the time to 0.02% of the time since last November.

I'm 76 and disabled (physically and neurologically - I only have between 2 and 4 hours a day of full cognitive ability). My biggest fear is that the livestock and therapy pets will be harmed by the lack of help and my inability to think and sequence much of the day. In addition to doing 100% of the chores through the winter, I am now milking a goat for the first time in 7 years. One more thing to do twice a day!! AAAARGH.

YHWH blessed us with two little female kids to start our goat dairy, but unfortunately, they were unable to nurse on the mother's malformed bag. I started out having to feed them every two hours (but, fortunately, now down to 4 times a day. More time away from other tasks.

The public farmers market opened Wednesday for the season (our main source of income from the farm), but having to leave to feed the kids - missing sales. More time, fewer volunteers. More time away from the care of livestock and fund raising to interview applicants for the assistant farm manager job. Costs tripling due to the sad state of affairs of the USA economy (and politics). Donors lost due to the pandemic (and politics).

I am drowning in physical responsibilities and crushing debt (first time our 501c3 could not pay our monthly bills, and may lose our excellent credit rating). Please pray that we find a veteran (or veterans) who will take on the challenge of keeping this rehab farm going to (1) train our next generation of farmers, (2) help traumatized people (especially veterans with PTSD and/or drug addiction) find healing in caring for plants and animals, (3) give addicted people the hope they need by finding the benefits of working hard to care for animals and taking on the profession of farming, (4) save our country's farmland, (5) give this community a "light on the side of the hill" through this farm and learning how to survive when the grid goes down (where Torah is honored).

If we can find an assistant farm manager to take over the physical needs of keeping this rehab farm going, I can focus on networking, teaching, doing all the documentation required to run a 501c3, and fund raising. Please help me. YHWH blessed us with this farm, this dream, the skills to teach and run a 501c3. I feel like I am letting Him (and the board of directors) down. I need to keep from allowing the stress and fears to cripple me. Please pray that He grants me wisdom (and peace of mind) in how to proceed. Thank you. Sandy

P.S. Help me share the great peace and joy I have living on this farm surrounded by God's creation after having lost my entire family and support system. It was never our plan when we designed this nonprofit and donated our family farm to it that I should have to continue this rehab farm alone. I have a wonderfully supportive board of directors, but they are limited in what time, energy and skills they have to do the actual work of this project. Please pray that YHWH sends HIS choice of a Torah keeping veteran (or veterans) to take over the farm management.
