“Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth concerning anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” – Matthew 18:19-20
Thank you Sis River for your June 5th posting. I just went through one of the toughest weeks of my life - bringing on great despair. At an agricultural meeting on Tuesday I was confronted by a nasty woman who spoke about our farmers market issues and much of what she spoke was based on misinformation and downright lies.
(On a positive note: all during the attack Father blessed me with a sense of peace and calm. I was able to speak without rancor - for the first time in my life during a verbal attack!)
The rest of Tuesday and all of Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, I cried more than when I lost my family - feeling inadequate and very much a failure. I woke up this morning with a sense of peace, re-read all the e-mails I had to write to counter her lies, and realized that with a combination of the gifts YHWH has blessed me with and His incredible presence, love, and intervention, there is no reason for a believer to feel despair.
This revelation was brought home when I read Sis River's post. Please join me in:
1. Praying for Michael and the Crew - safety, blessings, encouragement, and resources.
2. that I remember all this and not be crippled with despair again,
3. that at the Wednesday meeting on June 12, I keep the door open to experience His peace as I speak at a public gathering regarding the needs of the farmers market, our struggling county farmers, our impoverished community, and clarifying the misinformation (and lies) in such a way that no one takes offence (guard my mouth!!!!!).
