“Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth concerning anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” – Matthew 18:19-20
My sister Carolyn went to the ER because she could barely breathe. She was being treated for pneumonia. The attending Dr. Decided to admit her to the hospital. Later in early evening they did a CT scan of her chest. I got a call from the Dr. On Sunday evening and he said the CT scan showed lesions on her left breast and left lung. They did another CT scan of her abdomen and there were spots on her liver and the bones in her lower back. She was in a lot of pain in her ribs and back which they treated with mega pain killers. An Oncologist was called in and he determined my sister has metastatic breast cancer, but felt she had a good chance of having a good while to be on this earth. The Oncologist ordered an MRI of her brain and there were 4spots there as well. Carolyn was discharged after three weeks to a Rehab Nursing Home where she did well for the first five days or so and started a slow decline due to emended pain in her back. The next Tuesday, we met with the gate team and it was their opinion that she could no longer be considered for rehab because she had become very weak. That was quite a blow because we were under the impression she would work at rehab and be discharged to go home. I prayed and asked JeHoVah to please restore Carolyn's strength so she go home in a week or so. When I returned to the nursing home that evening, she was sitting up on the edge of her bed, back to her self again...Praise JeHoVah again and again. Carolyn started to go downhill again and once again JeHoVah restored her strength. Unfortunately, Carolyn seems to be in a steady decline requiring lots of pain medication and care. The Nursing Home Dr. Said she had weeks to months to live. Obviously her quality of life at this point leaves a lot to be desired. She asked the Dr. To put a DNR in place. This afternoon she asked if all this treatment, pain and suffering was worth it. I said yes. I'm at a loss now as how to pray. I don't want to lose her, but I don't want her to suffer either. She isn't a believer, but I tell her God is with her and she doesn't need to be afraid. She said, "I know". Please pray for JeHoVah's will, either way, but for Carolyn to believe in JeHoVah as Lord of her life. Thank you so much and God bless you all.
